-1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 6 bananas, sliced about 1 inch thick
-1/4 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark would work)
-1/4 cup of rum OR 1 teaspoon of rum extract (if the kiddos will be eatin' it)
-2 to 3 cups of vanilla ice cream
In a two quart slow cooker, melt the butter on low. After the butter is completely melted, add the brown sugar and rum (or rum extract). Stir to incorporate. Add the bananas and stir to coat, but try not to break up the bananas. Cook on LOW for 1 hour. Scoop 1/2 cup of ice cream in bowls and serve bananas foster over it
